About

I am a graduate of the Hunter School of Social Work in New York City. I have experience treating individuals with acute psychiatric needs, including trauma, emotional dysregulation and chronic stress, as well as more general issues such as anxiety, depression, social skills, self esteem, relationships, school problems, and family conflict. My treatment approach is flexible, using a combination of insight-oriented therapy and skill building to overcome obstacles. I have received specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment model to help resolve symptoms of trauma.

I have worked with individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds and in a variety of settings. In addition to maintaining a private practice, I have worked since 2003 in outpatient and residential settings at the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services (JBFCS), one of the largest social service agencies in New York City.

I have a special interest and expertise in the treatment of adolescents, and I have successfully worked with many teenagers and their families to better handle conflict, improve relationships, control moods and behaviors, adaptively respond to social and academic pressures, and better manage the often overwhelming process of growing up.

My office is located in lower Westchester, NY. Please contact me for an initial phone consultation or to schedule an appointment.
